Just got my Thinkpad x61 and its been great! My only question is ...

How do I get the fingerprint reader to work with websites such as my university email and facebook..etc?

I've browsed the client security solutions application, but I can't seem to figure it out. Much thanks to the person who can solve my problem!

Excuse me if this has been chatted about already, I could not find the search button for this forum.

You need to click on "enroll fingerprints" under the Thinkvantage program group - not Client Security Sol.

I've enrolled my fingertips, can you be a little more specific with the steps?

No need to get insulting. There's plenty of knowledgeable people on this forum. From what I have heard you need to get an extension for Firefox, it may come pre-installed but how else is it meant to know when something is a password or just a bit of plain text you're typing in Word?

Client Security Solutions should be what you're looking for. I don't remember exactly how I configured it though. All I remember was that it was extremely slow and annoying, so I ended up uninstalling it.

I don't mean to escalate the conversation, but "it was a joke" doesn't justify or mitigate the nature of the statement. A grand majority of jokes are, in fact, insults and the idea is that it humors some at the expense of others.

Well, your right, it humored me, at the expense of others. Congratulations on your observation.

But thanks for the help of everyone, I finally got it to work!
