what was teh first ThinkPad ultraportable (or 12" screen size or less) with USB2.0? i tried searching and came up with some cool history websites (i.e. Wiki history page: http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/ThinkPad_History) but none showing when USB2.0 started. thanks

X31 probably. X30 still used USB 1.1.

apparently, the first USB 2.0 was the T40 so i think you might be right since they were both released around the same time.
