    flat battery

    i have a minor problem with the battery on my 3000 n100,when i goto power options the battery level indicates 85%.
    if i pull the power lead out of the laptop,the laptop switches off and will wont not switch back on until i plug the mains power lead back in gain.

    what would cause this to happen

    How old is the batt? I have a 7 year old DeLL says the batt is 100% charge. Of course 100% of 0 is 0. This could be the issue. You need to post more info for us to help.

    The battery is probably kaput. Samsung had a batch of batteries which pegged out at just over a year of use. I wonder whether the manufacturers build in timer chips so that the batteries die just after the 1 year warrant has expired.
