been checking out the thinkpads...i know the r50 and r51 as well as t42 and t43 have flexview...but if im checking on ebay, how do i know which ones that offers flexview? would it mean as long as its 15" its assumed to have flexview?

any 15" SXGA or UXGA T42 or 43 should, as well as the high resolution
also, should be able to plug in the model number into the end of this link (replace 2687d4u with whatever else) and see in the specs if it says flexview

If you can get the serial number an machine type you can look it up on IBMs site. Someone was saying they are phasing out the FlexView on the R. Could be wrong though. Usually the Rs with it are as expensive as the Ts so you might as well get a T.

ya the R52 doesnt have...
so i guess not all 15" inch tt42/t43 and r50/51 are flexviews then.... -
Only 15" SXGA+ and UXGA on the T series are for sure FlexView. The 14" SXGA+ T is not. The SXGA+ on the Rs used to be FlexView but I think I saw somewhere they were getting rid of it. Probably should ask Lenovo if you want to find out for sure.
flexview
