    Hey guys,

    Using a t500 with ubuntu 9.04 x64 mainly and w7 for on-the-go/gaming.
Can ubuntu support both the intel graphics and ati graphics through bios switch? The reason is now I only have the ati driver for ubuntu, but sometimes i'll switch to integrated when using windows. I'm tired of needing to switch back to dedicated when restarting ubuntu. Right now, ubuntu doesn't recognize the intel card, and can only run in low-graphics mode when using it.

i'd like to have something useable in integrated mode with ubuntu, much like in windows, where I have both dedicated and integrated drivers installed, and not overwrite my current ati driver.

I have xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.6.3 installed but as said before integrated graphics don't work.

in case I wasn't clear, I don't need hotswap switchable graphics, just the ability to use both after a bios switch.

    thanks

I don't think that's what I need. Like I said before, I don't need a hotswappable graphics driver. I would be happy enough if I have what I have in windows right now, which is 2 separate working drivers.
