scored a sweet x61t at garage sale for $10. The fan was not working so I bought a new fan for it and put it in. All indicator lights don't seem to work now , the laptop works but the tablet buttons etc don't work (the power button on the screen does work). Did I forget a wire?

    It's possible.

    Does the fingerprint reader work?

Re-seat all the connections. Your prime suspects are the inverter ones.

    Good luck.

thx, the indicator lights were working but the fingerprint reader got really really hot one day and now the lights don't work and probably the fingerprint reader (not sure I actually never use the fingerprint reader or install the software. I actually only need to rotate screen tablet button or alternative but ctrl and alt and the arrow keys doesn't rotate me screen.
