so that's it, I'm done-- finally decided on a T60 w/Flexview, and now I'm debating paying the extra $$$ for a T60p with the FireGL card; I'm just curious, lots of people post really good quotes they've gotten from Lenovo, and I'm wondering what's the best approach for the getting a good quote; I guess this is predominantly a matter of persistence/rhetoric, but does anybody have any suggestions as far as "pushing" for the best quote possible? Questions to ask, "buzzwords," etc? Also, I'm slightly familiar with this whole 'Fatwallet' thing, but that's only for placing an order online, correct?

finally, what would you consider a good quote for a T60p with the following specs: 15" Flexview, T7200, 2 GB RAM, 100 GB 7200 RPM HDD, 256 MB FireGL, Combo/DVD writer, 3 year depot repair; perhaps $2200-2300 ?

as always, all suggestions are greatly appreciated........

tell the rep $500 and be firm about it. but seriously. you gotta bs the bs'er sometimes. research some other alternatives you would seriously consider and know enough about them to throw in the salesman face and to rebutt his pitches. also, know the prices and possibly throw coupon code and/or sales/promotions in there to try and get the sales rep to sweeten the deal. i.e. the dell xxxx which is comparable to the thinkpad has a 25% percent coupon and it meets or beats all my expectations and beats out the thinkpad by $250. remember bs the bs'er but don't bs yourself.
