has anyone noticed on the lenovo website...

Hey Guys,

I'm thinking of purchasing a T61 since they have a 33% discount right now, but from their configuring webpage (i'm in canada, so using the lenovo canada website), they dont have the option to add bluetooth anymore, is it a glitch that they forgot? or could it be something else....

ideas are welcome since i want to grab one right now before uni starts again,

Check out these ones, there's a 14" and a 15" T61p that both have bluetooth.

I saw the same thing on the US site last night, no bluetooth on the 14" T61's.

i configured the laptop using the link you gave me but i cant use the ecoupon, CAPSAVE15T61, so instead of coming out to be 1400 it came out to 1600 :S
too bad that didnt work


edit: where can i get information on how this forum is ran, i.e. what is "rep" etc, i read this forum daily but never acutally signed up until today

 

Try calling them to order. They can override options that appear/do not appear on the website. I'm sure they'll be able to configure one for you that has bluetooth.

 

If you chat with the sales representatives, they can see exactly what you are seeing. They know what site you are on and what you are clicking. I know its creepy but it's sort of helpful.

 

so i just called them and found out that:
1. they are short on bluetooth hardware so therefore it is not included in any of the configurations at the moment
2. they will be getting them in at the end of july /early august and it will be added to the configurator when it's in
3. but by then the t61 would have expired booooo

 

just ordered 2 nights ago and had that option... that better not be the case and they delay my order because of that...that wouldsuck

 

It looks like Bluetooth is an option on the Lenovo Canada website again, I just configured a 14.1 T61 with it.

I was chatting with a Rep as well, and she told me that the T400's are coming "very soon", and that this is likely to be the last big sale on the current T's before the new models come out! The current sale expires on the 28th, so I hope she's right. The current sale is really tempting at 35%, but I saved a quote so I think I'll wait and see what happens over the next week.

Next Tuesday could be exciting if this is the release date, as the new Dell Latitude E series is rumoured to be released that day as well.

Here's where I started from.

 

He doesn't want to use the back-to-school ones because the T-Series Canadian eCoupon doesn't work with those ones apparently.

 

Wow, I didn't realize that bluetooth was only an option in one of the configurations and not the other.

Trumpcard, I just talked with a rep, and they said it was possible for them to add bluetooth to an order that doesn't have it, it might just be delayed a week or two.
