my situation is simple. a week ago a got some maleware which corrupted my system on my t60 w/ windows xp. i have the factory recovery cds, but when i start my system the 'restore and recovery' window comes up, but does not allow me to restore my system.

    so what should i do?
    1. how do i reinstall everything from my recovery cds?
    2. and since i have reinstall everything, is there a way so that i do not have to reinstall of the 3rd party ibm software, that seems to just clutter everything?

i have looked everywhere for these answers, but have only become more confussed as time has gone on.

any help or suggestions will be grately appreciated.
    thx

    1. Just insert the first discs of the recovery media, follow the prompt and you should be okay.

    2. No you can't, you will have to uninstall everything that you don't need after the full recovery happens.
