    i got couple of cds with my thinkpad t500. i assumed they are some sort of recovery cds and did not care about them. i was going through them today and found out they are software cds. i looked into my bill and saw these two entries.

    Adb dig school coll for xp
    VST bookslf coll ed for xp.

    what are they?

    I'm not certain, but my guess would be;
    "Adb dig school coll for xp" = some adobe software; educational version
    "VST bookslf coll ed for xp" = some type of audio synthesizer and/or effect plugins with audio editors; again an educational version.

    I'm assuming "coll ed" is educational edition softwares....did you get your laptop through your university by any chance?

    Normally, a college license/version is a dumbed down (less features) variant of the full version. eg MS office student contains Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and One Note while the "Full" professional version also has Access, Outlook, Publisher, etc.
