You have to keep in mind that drivers for Windows 7 are not mature yet, or are nonexistent (switchable graphics driver, for example). You will not be able to use switchable graphics in Windows 7; as of yet, only Windows Vista has that feature.

Probably have to re-install Win7 with AHCI enabled from the start...

We've installed Win 7 on a couple of these T400 just to try it out and while the switchable graphics doesn't work because there is no driver yet. I've not had any other issues thus far and thankfully no BSD or other driver problems and AHCI enabled!

I'm going to wait until there is significantly more driver support before I attempt to install Windows 7 on my machine. I'm definitely planning on the upgrade though.

This far Lenovo and stepped up more than any others in providing driver support! I've been more than pleased! I have to say thus far I've not thrown anything at Windows 7 that it hasn't handled perfectly! I am ready for the RTM and availability so we can settle into this OS.
