Due to the refresh rate, small, horizontal lines appear to flicker. :(

Note to web designers: Don't use small, horizontal lines as a background. ;)

i get the same flicker. probably any 60hz lcd monitor will have the same problem. its the web designers fault. send the guy an email telling him (politely) that he should consider switching the background because of 60hz lcd monitors.

Google "LCD adjusting" and one of the first results should be a guide to getting a crisp display.

From MS Help. Unfortunately, many if not all laptops don't have that high of an option. :(

no wonder that why I feel curious

last time I used to own desktop all the way , using samsung LCD view this website don;t sense the flicker but if u scroll up and down will see flicker
this is the first time I own laptop

but what I curious is how come my office a dam old compaq armada E500 can display this website well !??? no flickering spotted

and the refesh rate I check can go to 100+ ! so many option to choose

    I checked is on 60hz resolution is 1028 * 768 ,

screen size is 14 I think

hmm maybe due to screen size???
by the way T61P got this function?

    http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-4YQHUC#help

Disable screen expansion in the ThinkPad Configuration Utility.
Some ThinkPad systems allow the video to be expanded to fill the display, but this may cause the text to be distorted.

LCD's do not have a refresh rate. You can see it in the driver settings but adjusting the setting does not do anything.
