help!
my matshita drive stopped working. i mean i put in my CD or DVD and it does not play. i used explorer but the drive cannot be accessed due to some I/O device error. i have restarted my machine for some time now and still the problem exists. i even ran pc doctor and put in some discs and the drive bay just pops out and requests a cd to put in, much like it really does not recognize every disc i put into it.
i even removed the drive and put it again. still no luck... so what do i do?

Could try deleting the IDE driver, though it sounds as the drive has gone.

thanks for the quick reply ZaZ
where can i find the driver? maybe i'll reinstall that driver. can't seem to find it in the lenovo site as i'm not sure what specifically i should download. -
It is in device manager. It should reinstall when you reboot.

thanks for the support ZaZ
the problem still persists. i just called ibm philippines and they told me that they'll deliver me the replacement unit. now i just have to wait 3-5working days as this machine is a US released model and not the local one. wow... it's so nice to have an international warranty under the hood
i hope they give me a better drive -
