i used to do that with my dell d600 to play movies... is that possible with T60 ?
-
Yes it is possible, but I don't know if the T60 has an S-Video sonnector. It does, however, have a VGA connector, which you can use to connect. If you have a newer Plasma or LCD TV, then it wll also include a VGA connecotr, so to connect the notebook and TV, you will need a male to male cable.

I just ordered a VGA> component breakout cable, which might work with the T60. I will let you guys know in a couple of days if it worked or not.

Sorry this reply is late - only just joined the forum! If you do have an S-video connector, you'll still have to go to Programs/Lenovo Care/Presentation Director to add a new Display Scheme to configure the output for your TV. It's not too difficult - just click 'New' and follow the prompts.

i use vga with a sony vaio to a projector to watch videos/dvd's. T60's don't have s-video, so that's out of the question. i think VGA to component or VGA to VGA is your best bet quality-wise, if you don't have those on your tv/lcd/receiver, then you could get a VGA to s-video/rca such as this: click me!
hope that helps! -

so that means if you don't have VGA or component on your TV/receiver, you can't hook up the T60 to the tv at all? or is there another way around it?

you need an actual VGA to component convertor, not a cable. or get this, which I will get soon: http://www.cdw.com/shop/products/default.aspx?EDC=927750
