There are two ways to power off LCD display:
    (1) press ThinkVantage, and choose "power off display"
    (2) press fn+F3, and choose "power off display"
I wonder if I could make it easier. For example, if I could map fn+F6 to "power off display". Any ideas?

Try looking at the Keyboard Customizer Utility, you should be able to configure something to your own standards.

for fn+F3, I need to press the keys, and move the mouse to select, not very convenient
I just want to press the keys fn+F6, and power off LCD right away.

In the menu that pops up when you hit FN+F3 there is an option to customize the action you want taken. There're 2 options: Show the menu (the default)or Power off Display. Choose the latter. You can also customize that via Power Manager. Then when you hit FN+F3 it will power off the display right away.

morphy is right, you can set it to have fn+F3 to turn off display instead of going to the menu.

Now if you could only turn off the display while the computer was locked ... :(
