well paypal is the best for protection. Shipping will be expensive. Plus you will pay taxes to bring it in.

While i totally agree that the T42p is the great laptop, I do have one, and my friends are envious of the amount of code i can fit in such a small, long lasting laptop. But if you can't create a paypal account, you might have to buy one on money order.
Sellers will ship item, however based on where you live, you may want to add insurance to the item so it does get delievered (granted they ship worldwide)
As for model, i personally prefer models with a 14.1" SXGA+ because it has 1050 vertical pixels in a small compact form, however if you wanted a 15" make sure it is a UXGA, it is probably the best benefit to the laptop, especially against laptops now-a-days.
Hope this helps. -
just about anyone who accepts paypal will also accept a money order (NOT a cashiers check, however). All of the risk in using a money order falls on you, not the seller. Once the seller cashes the money order, there is nothing you can do to get your money back, so choose a very highly rated seller - even if it costs a bit more. T42 is an excellent choice - a real workhorse, and as tough as anything in a harsh environment.

Maybe the site is blocked in the country u live in.
I would go with T43, or even a new one directly from lenovo when they have big sale or clearence on certain models. lenovo prices at that time could be significantly lower than e bay.
You will also have to worry about customs.
Your best bet if you travel to a near by country and buy one from there.
Good luck, i know how that feels, been in a similar country and now living in the US where most of us take many things for granted.
how can buy a T42P from Ebay in Iran
