whats next after "IN PROCESS"? how long does it usually take?

I think it goes "Order sent to factory" and then "Order in production"? Mine's on the latter. I would say it takes 1-2 days for mine to change to order sent.

The next status should be "Shipped on xx/xx/2008". If they can charge your credit card, it will take from 2 days to 1 week to be in process, depending on you order a pre-configure (usually from outlet store) or configure-to-order (CTO) laptop.

so from "in process" it goes straight to "shippped..XXXXX"??

You Americans are lucky, with your fancy-shmancy ordering updates.
Us Canadians just get a stupid e-mail and that's it.

Well if you have my luck ... it will stay 'in process' forever. Hell, mine still shows as 'in process', and it came in on the 5th. It took about 8 calls or so, but I was able to get a tracking number......the day before it was delivered! As stated before, call them! BTW, mine was an outlet order.

Even better: when you call Lenovo Canada to see if they received your order, the rep will suggest that you cancel your order and call again.

I am in the same situation as you. I ordered my laptop on 2/3/08 with a ship date of 2/21/08. I only got 1 initial email from them saying they got the order. I paid with paypal and I got a notice from paypal saying they were going to charge me the total but nothing had gone through yet. I know Lenovo only charges when they ship. I even checked my status this morning and the same "In Process". No further emails received. I am probably going to call Lenovo myself today and see what is going on.
They have a number to call 1-866-96-THINK for order questions in the US. Does any one know if this is toll free? -

I just got an email this morning that my order shipped. I ordered on 2/3 and got the email on 2/10. It went from "in process" directly to shipping. Hope that helps. From the posts I am reading, looks like Lenovo is doing a good job with fast shipping in the US recently. -

I ordered a t60p 4 weeks ago and the status was still in process until friday i received an email saying that part number is not available anymore. They started another promotion for t60p's a couple weeks after i ordered it..

Wow, I hope my laptop gets built and shipped within a week. I think my order was processed since my available credit on my card went down almost $1200. I hope it arrives this week, but that might be a little optimistic.

I think your order will be fine. I think there are a lot of things that can cause delays, the biggest reason being low stock on parts. If you ordered all the stuff without those little red message that say "will delay your order 4 weeks", you should be fine, is what I am thinking. I ordered a T61, but on hindsite I am thinking that maybe I should have gotten a different config. Maybe I will put it up on ebay and order a different one.

I got pretty much the same thing except a 2.4ghz processor, less warranty, and a 14.1" T61
