Next time, read the ThinkPad Sticky and ThinkPad Discounts Guide in my signature before making a new thread.

well...if u really did attend a school, you would be smart enough to figure it out yourself. so with that logic, DONT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE STARVING COLLEGE STUDENTS!

Please keep this on topic ...

And, no, I hope I'm not "jumping the gun" on this one, I just want to make it clear from the get-go that we don't tolerate any fraud; it's been an issue in the past and will probably continue to be one in the future.

I apologize if I offended anyone.

I'm a Florida college student. When I click on Higher Education for Florida, there's pretty much absolutely nothing. I take it not every state has these offers?

I like the models and prices offered from the California & Arizona Lenovo educational portals. I ordered a T60p 14.1" 4:3 w/ T7600 & Vista Ultimate over the weekend. I was tempted to go with the 14.1" 4:3 T61p but decided the T60p was the better choice even though it cost more. Be sure to use your university email address from a college in CA or AZ when ordering.

Now I'll have a T60p Flexview, T60p 14.1" 4:3, and T60 14.1" 4:3 to last me as long as possible before the dreaded move to widescreen. Ugh, I’m getting nauseous just thinking about it.

I called in and with a .edu e-mail I got a flat $100 off my order since my school has nothing with Lenovo. I would call your school and see if they have a deal (they probably won't) and then just use your school e-mail to save the $100.

I ordered from Lenovo Education portal on early Monday morning (late Sunday night for me), September 30th, and my order shipped today from China, September 31st. Not bad! They beat my previous custom order by 1 day's service. When I ordered my T60p Flexview CTO (customized order), they required a whole 2.5 business days to pass before shipping. Maybe the T61p 4:3 would have required even less time to build, which would be same day shipping! WoW, impressed as always.

I live in Tennessee and used California portal. It has great pricing for unique models such as T60p 14.1" 4:3, Flexview, T61 4:30, and T61p 4:3 models, all customizable with best prices it seems (none of which are available from Lenovo main store). I’ll be sure to let people know if everything is up to standard and with classic IBM ThinkPad logo (very important). I was skeptical that they would have canceled my order but perhaps they are just happy to have loyal customers and the business. That's a good thing. Thanks Lenovo!

Tracking info, I chose UPS Ground service:

Yes, not all the schools have contracts with Lenovo. And the discount varies from school to school. As far as I know, OSU offers the biggest discount, about 34% off. My school offers 30% off, not bad though. You have to use your school email to register.
