that stupid power manager on the task bar is annoying with the single click start. i like the display being there to show battery status but it is so easy to click it because it opens with a single click. how do you make it only open with double click?

Yeah in vista it was a single left click allowed you to change settings, and now in windows 7 it launches the program. I recommend that you simply change your habits and realize that a single click launches the program.

i agree lenovo should definately change this or at least make it customizable.

here is my interim solution: goto properties and edit access permissions. Set it so that your user account is denied read and execute and read access. Now you can click it as many times as you want and it wont load.

If you need to change settiings, go delete the rule and open power manager then add it back afterwards.

The real solution will come in the form of an update.

That seems a lot more painful of a solution than simply changing one's user habits.

Actually for me its not so much a result of 'bad habit', mostly its by accident. Especially if you have lots of programs you access daily on the notification area, e.g. some usb sticks like the sandisk cruzer have some software docked there, etc. so when you goto use your usb you click it by accident sometimes
