I am wondering if the thinkpads have any means of scrolling. I do software development and i scroll through code ALOT, i noticed the touchpad doesnt have one of those side scroll areas, am i really limited to clicking on the scrollbar in IE!?

The middle button of the UltraNav should do the work. I've been using it to control the scrolling.

Though the touchpad doesn't have clearly marked scroll areas, they do, in fact, scroll. You can adjust the size of those areas and many other features of the touchpad under main.cpl (the mouse control panel).

+1. I don't use the touchpad at all. In fact I disabled it.

Yep I noticed this too. Works well, although for slower scrolling I find myself using simply the down arrow a lot.
