I was a little surprised to receive the larger 90w AC adapter with my new T61. (i was hoping for the smaller 65w)
I just drained the battery for the first time, and was shocked to see it take 6-7 hours to fully charge(granted, I have the 7 cell battery, but still!)
I don't remember my old Asus taking even half this long.
And this is with the 90w AC adapter.
I can only guess it will take longer with the 65w(I just bought one at buy.com to be more portable)
I'm curious to see how long it takes the rest of you. (not just T61)
please post model, wattage of AC adapter, and how many cell the battery is
-
that seems like an insane amount of time... both the dells i have had only took about an hour to charge.. i think they only had 4 cell batteries...
-
maybe, just maybe as in the case of new batteries, it still needs a cycle of charge and discharge to be optimized. or your ac adapter's busted.

mine with a 6-cell bar and 90w adapter on T61. charge time = 1hr20min max.

I believe my 9-cell for my T60 takes about 3-4 hours to fully charge, could be a bit longer. Yours should be quicker with a 7-cell.
Forgot: 90w AC adapter -
9 cell for me is 3 hours 42 minutes last time for a full charge...it is a long time...
how long to charge your battery from drained ??
