The noteboook supports a maximum of 2 GB of RAM at the moment. So, its limited to a installation of one more 1 GB module. Lenevo may decide to release a BIOS update, which could increase it to 4 GB maximum, but its unsure if they will.

The nappa chipset supports up to 3 gig of RAM. The new Santa Rosa chipset supports up to 4 gig of RAM.

The Z61t most likely uses the Nappa chipset. Why don't you give tech support a call and find out.
