Hi all, I am planning to buy another hard drive and replace the one i have now, so as i am planning, i am thinking that if i changed my new hard drive, i might as will try some other OS like linux ubuntu 9.04, however, i have a few questions about changing hard drive,
    1. if i change my hard drive, and i find that i want to keep the old one, and i reinstall the hard drive, would the computer act like nothing happened. and all my program on that hard drive work?

    2. if i change the hard drive, how would my bio look like when i first start up?

please help, I am really interested in ubuntu but i want to keep my vista alive just in case i feel that i want to go back to the previous.

    1. Yep, same as before.
    2. BIOS is independent of what HDD you have installed. The BIOS should detect the new HDD but that's it. The BIOS will look the same as it did before.

Thanks for replying so fast, i have one other question, if i try to dual boot on the same harddrive and i want to keep the thinkvantage button working, how would i do that? also if the thinkvantage does work after i dual boot, will the thinkvantage be able to completely bring the factory install of vista if i decided to get rid of dual boot?
