    i tried downloading the keyboard customize utility but it didnt help. how can i turn on numlk by pressing the scrlk/numlk key once instead of having to hold the fn key to turn it on and off. this way would be much more convenient for me since i use the keypad a lot. thanks in advance!

    I have used autohotkeys in the past to remap keys

    There are user scripts to do just about anything...
