    I just got my laptop today, and i was wondering about how to disable the touchpad

    its got weird 3 buttons on top of the touch pad too

    how do i disable whatever is below the space bar?

    The three weird buttons you're referring to are the left, middle, and right buttons for the TrackPoint (red pointing stick). If you want to disable the touchpad, you can do so in your mouse settings in control panel. You can also disable it in the BIOS.

    Try them out a bit before turning them off. In my case, I use the upper set of buttons a lot--especially the middle one--even though I use the TouchPad more than the TrackPoint. If you use Firefox, that middle button opens links in a new tab... very convenient.
