    how to upgrade the warranty?

    I purchased an X61 in December. I recently decided to upgrade my standard warranty to the 3 year warranty. I was wondering if I could do it online somewhere. I searched the lenovo website and they only have available phone numbers (which are closed on weekends). Is this the only way to upgrade the warranty.

    Also, do I have until December 08 to upgrade the warranty?

    Yeah, I think most warranty upgrades have to be done over phone.

    You can wait till near the end of the warranty before upgrading it, so you technically don't have to worry till late this year.

    It's possible to buy upgrades in webshops and activate them by mail.

    The webshop where you bought the warranty upgrade, will send you a link with the instructions on how to do the upgrade.

    After a couple of weeks you will get a confirmation that the upgrade is completed.
