I'm planning on buying a t500, but I would have a question, I hope you experts can answer. I'm using a notebook now with a hsdpa modem inside (asus v2s). Many times I use it in an area where the inside antenna is the difference between high speed hsdpa or much lower speed (which usb modem gets).

Now If know it right the 5100 wifi has 1 antennas, and the wifi 5300 has 3.
The t500 can be ordered with inside hsdpa modem.

Now the question is: is the hsdpa modem using the wifi antennas or it has seperate antenna?

I very rarely use wifi, I use hsdpa all the time. But if hspda uses the wifi antennas I will go with the 5300 wifi.

I might have asked a dumb thing, I'm bad technicaly.

    Thx for the answers.

Pretty much have to be separate antennas since the frequencies used are drastically different.

Use google to look for the hardware maintenance manual and look at the diagrams. (I'm assume that'd have the info)

Thx, I found it. It doesnt say it, but the it speaks about connecting the lan card to the antennas. So then the 5300 lan card is not that important to me.
