is this a fair deal?? and how are my specs??

one question : my order status on lenovo site does not show the estimated shipping date?? when do they tell you the shipping date. it just says "in process" and no date

 

It takes a few minutes.

I ordered mine today and the ship date is 09/06/2007

The shipdate will show near the top of the page too, not where it says "processing." (for me it does anyway)

i need to receive it before my school starts damn

 

I'm planning to order my T61 too but TV Out option is holding me back ... do you have any idea does it support TV out on VGA port using VGA to S-Video cable.

 

That's a good deal! If I were you, I would wait until about 1-2 weeks before your school starts. Since you didn't order the camera or the 160G HD, you should get your machine rather quickly. Many people on this forum have reported machines shipping 10 days after ordering if configured without those options.

If they still haven't shipped it by then, you can always order one of the pre-built T61 configuration (costs a bit more....) or just buy a mac. They are good machines and they should ship almost immediately.

 

Lenovo ESD's aren't accurate. The laptop will get to you within 3 weeks.

hey why would you order before 1~2weeks before my school starts??
do you think lenovo will have a better price by that time?
do you think i should just cancel my order and wait until the price goes down?

 

My order that went through today has ESD 8/8, w/o any of the delaying components. I wish it come ealier.

 

mine is 09/06 i'm just not going to think about t61. terrible this is more than a month

 

With that long time in between, you may see more discount and have price adjustment issues but I hope we are in the lowest priced period

 

if the price is lowered within 30days of your purchase , then you can make an adjustment

 

It's amazing to me that you can get the quality of a thinkpad for under 1000 bucks! Congrats on your purchase!

 

I thought you already ordered your T61? I meant you should wait for the thing to ship before jumping to something else (ie. a prebuilt or a mac....) As others have said the prices are very good now and you can always get it adjusted later, so no worries about that.

 

I ordered today and my ESD is 9/6. Another reason for you to not to cancel your order.

BTW where do you live? I live in Los Angeles...maybe that has something to do with it? I dunno.
