Hi, everyone
Can't choose between ThinkPad R52/PM1700 512MB 60GB XPP (Manufacturer Code: UN364UK), ThinkPad R52/PM1800 512MB 60GB XPP (Manufacturer Code: UN34CUK) or ThinkPad T42 Pentium M 735 (1.70GHz), XP Pro, 512MB, 40GB/5400rpm, 15" XGA TFT, DVD/CD-RW, Fingerprint Reader (Manufacturer Code: UC2F2UK). Details you can find on www.elara.ie
Should I overpay (pretty much) for T42 model? The difference is only battery lifetime and warranty?
I really need your advice! Thank you for any ideas.

It really depends what you're going to be doing with the laptop. The biggest difference between the R-series and the T-series is size, weight, and materials. If your going to be mobile a lot, the T42 is a better choice if you don't mind paying extra (although the 14" screen T42 will be more portable), but if you're not going to be taking it around with you very much, then you might as well save some money and go for the R52.

i'd say R52 PM1800 512MB 60GB XPP
it is faster cpu.
.4kg is no big diff. in a backpack.
r52 uses good quality plastic, temp is cooltoo. -
The UN34CUK has a SXGA screen and 8x DVD burner. It has a slower hard drive, but you could swap it out. The T series will be a little more portable and more solid.
i want to buy ibm laptop
