    I just ordered the t43 online last night from ibm.com The online order status says the estimated shipping date is 5/18/05. Is this typical for orders placed on ibm.com?

    Yes, that's normal. Their estimated shipping date is not reliable at all. When they say will ship in 2-4 weeks that can also mean it will ship tomorrow or in a couple days. Just keep checking your order status and you will be surprised that it's shipped fast.
