hello,
i have read many reviews where they say this netbook runs extremely hot..
i am looking at it or the hp 1000 any thoughts?
thanks..

Depending on what you want to do the HP's limited capacity hard drive might be a deal breaker (it was for me). Only PATA 60 GB which would have been state of the art about 7 years ago.
Don't know about the heat for either model but the reviews of the Lenovo I've read don't mention any heating problems -- care to share a link?

Never had heat problems with Lenovo S10

My S10 does get a bit warm, nothing too bad though.
It helps to turn it to "Balanced" in power options, down clocks the processor a little. -
I had my S10 almost one month and I have not noticed any excessive heat at all. I also have the HP2133 now that one really gets kinda hot all over and the exhaust is also very hot too.
ideapas s10 question
