    is this shipping date right?
    I ordered an x61 on 1 Dec. I asked my acquisition manager today about the ship date and he said that it would ship dec 20.
    This is significantly more than the 1-2 weeks indicated on their site.
    Is it possible that he was talking about the DELIVERY date?

    No, this is the ship date. But, do not worry. Usually they ship one week after the order.

    I ordered on Dec. 2nd and it says I won't get mine until Dec. 27 :(

    But ya, I believe that I should get it before Christmas but if not oh well.

    I ordered my T61p on 11/21 ( right before Thanksgiving ) and it had a "ship date" of 12/18/07

    I recieved it 12/03/07 ;)

    point well made. Mine shipped out today.

    I guess that with ship dates THAT liberal, Lenovo always looks good

    Isn't there a word for situations like this?

    murphy's law that exactly the day AFTER i make this thread, it ships. Oh well. Someone from Lenovo must have seen this thread.

    Last spring and summer, people were getting ship dates a month or two from their order date. Consider yourself lucky.

    And note there is a separate forum just for Dell's fulfillment problems.

    Ordered x61 on the first of December...
    First time I called in to add a USB 2.0 SuperDrive, the CSR said it'd take 10 days.
    - Miracously, I got my USB 2.0 SuperDrive the same day I ordered it. But of course, I wanted the laptop more...

    Called again next day, CSR lady says it'll take 3.5 weeks....
