i did a fresh installation of xp on my t61p.

all was well until i installed access connections.
during the installation, i checked some option that involved logging in, but i don't remember what it was.

however, what i do remember, is that the next time i turned on my laptop, i typed in my password to login and it took an extra 10 seconds, hanging on "Loading personal settings...". before then, it was almost instant.

i uninstalled access connections but that didn't do anything to help.

has this happened to anyone else? or was it just a pure coincidence, and something else is causing it to do that?

dunno about the problem, because I never had my t400 w/o access connections.

however, IMO the extra 10 sec. is worth it. I move from spot to spot and it automatically detects where I am and logs on, even waking up from hibernation.

I can't imagine living without Access Connections. Automatically logs into wireless networks depending on locations. You can even set it up to launch certain applications or assign proxies with certain access points.
