I live in Canada, so I could understand if the X201s comes a bit later than the US, but it seems like not even the US site can get the X201s. What is going on? I want the X201s!

Yes. I just got one of the TopSeller units from a reseller. I managed to get a good deal on it for the specs, so I don't really have to order from Lenovo (EPP pricing wasn't that great in this instance).

Which reseller if you don't mind me asking?

Also is Ebay safe for this? What about warranty?

I'm not in the business of recommending eBay sellers. You'll have to do your homework here. I'd suggest you pay with paypal via credit card. It will offer you more recourse should things not work out.

Is anything safe? It's probably not quite as safe as buying directly from Lenovo, but it's still a pretty good option and right now it's your only option if you really want one.

As for the warranty if you're interested in one I'd ask if it's refurbished if you're interested in extending the warranty. Refurbed notebooks have one year warranties that cannot be upgraded. The X201s is still pretty new. Getting a refurbed unit seems unlikely. I'd also ask if it's got IWS. You'll want to have service in Canada should something happen, eh?

    Lenovo - Where to buy

search for either 5143-28U or 5143-4KU.   the 28U should be available through most resellers.   the 4KU was recently announced and likely hasn't hit store shelves yet.
