    where is the website from lenovo so i can customize a t61p online?

    Ya I don't think you can buy it brand new from lenovo any longer.

    They discontinued making them. I think you can still get pre configured ones from lenovo but not customizable.
    You should be able to find one that has most of what you want of ebay.

    Actually, in GPU benchmarks the 8600M-GT in the T61p is equal or better to that of the HD 3650 in the T500....

    Is that why resellers have raised the prices on thier remaining stock of T61p's ?

    Shouldn't be surprising since the T500 is the 15" T61 replacement not the T61p replacement -- a better comparison would be to the W500.

    It doesn't really make sense for resellers to raise the price... it's an old product, the price should drop...

    I agree it should drop, but look at t61p's at amazon and other sites--they are asking $1700 for the P model with the older T7500 CPU's. I require the use of certain Plextor CDRW drives, (thats right CDRW, not even DVDRW),and they are selling for close to $400. Sometimes when a high profile good quality prodect says "BY BY" I guess people try to grab one while they can.
