Hi...
I bought the 14" T42 as one of my criteria was always to have a compact laptop. I recently walked into a IBM showroom & for the 1st time had a close look at the 15" T42. Some how I felt that the 15" T42 seems more sturdy & strong compared to the 14". Especially the area behind the screen, the 15" does not seem to bend even a little, when you press the area behind the monitor. Has anyone noticed this?
Thnx...

I've seen them both. They seemed the same to me, but I didn't press on the back of the screens.
I was robbed by a sweet little old lady on a motorized cart and I didn't even see it coming.

I've used a 15" t42, and I just bought a 14" at home. I think it might just be that it was sitting in the store, things always look cooler in the store. as I've used both extensivly and found them to be equal.
Both have the great keyboard. I just pushed on the back of my 14" and didn't get any screen distorion, and it didn't bend as far as I could tell. If you push in and get distorion then something is wrong with your 's as they both have the mag exterior.
I actually like th 14" better. I felt the 15" made me stick out, the 14" really blends in and is compact, better for airline seats.
is the 15" T42 more sturdy than the 14"
