I am wondering if I should wait and see if the next sale will be better than the labor day sale.

    I got my eye on a X61

there will always be better sales and worse sales. buy the laptop when you need it or else you'll always be waiting .

Main site -> Solution For -> Education -> Higher Education -> Select State

Please note that you must have a valid university email to use this discount.

No - you dont need a university email. I just ordered a R61 and they never asked for any verification of my student status.

Also cupon code USXGENERIC will get you an ADDITIONAL 5% off.

I am a college student but never had to provide my school email either. I didn't go through the way wuzertheloser said. I went Main site -> Solution For -> Education -> Education Employee Purchase Program -> Students: -> Students and Alumni. This got me 5% off (on top of the 25% Labor day sale) plus I used the USXGENERIC eCoupon for another 5% off.
