    is the r61 hard drive cover the same for the 15 and 14 inch and are the wide screen cover different?

    No, they are different and not interchangeable.

    BTW, unless you've grabbed one of the *very* rare EU-only 15" (4:3) machines, all R61 units were widescreen only.

    Hold on a second there...

    15" SXGA+ implies a 4:3 format...not a widescreen, which would be WSXGA+...

    Presuming that yours is actually the latter, that would be the correct HD cover.
