    is z61m xga possible with X1400??

    is it possible to get a z61m with x1400 and 1280 x 800 res screen, the sxga is way too small for my eyes, i see they used to offer that option on the z60m. however the site doesnt allow u to configure it in that manner, nor does epp, would calling the sale department do it, anybody know thanks

    You certainly could try. Alls they can do is say no. I know the HP nc8430 with the x1600 is offered in WXGA flavor.

    Before you plunge on a lowres screen on a new laptop, check out IE7 on a high res screen, and play with the scaling feature. Windows Vista's scaling is going to be very similar, making fonts and other items larger, without making everything look like crap when running a non-native resolution.
