    g'day all,

now that i've done the mandatory couple of days with trying to upgrade to vista and then slowly clawing things back from it to get them to work, the main problem i'm having is with 3rd party software that was supplied with the machine, but now doesn't work under vista:

    • omnipass
      bluetooth
      camera
the support page on the lenovo website says just check the vendor's pages for updates, but I can't find any for omnipass (softex), the bluetooth (broadcom) reckons that my device is illegal, and I haven't even got started yet on the camera.

I would really appreciate any help

That's one of the biggest problems with Windows Vista, lack of drivers and why so many are up in arms about Microsoft's latest OS. It's so bad that Dell is again selling XP as an alternative until Microsoft gets Vista sorted out.

If they are not available on the Lenovo website then you'll need to wait. I tried the OS and took it off because I can't find drivers for my gaming rig or the OS is just plain unstable and it gets frustrating. IMO Vista was rushed and Microsoft needs to take the blame for this because Vista is a shell of what the OS was supposed to be.

You can probably tell i'm not a big fan of Vista and why I pre-ordered my T60 with XP Pro instead. ;) -
