    got T61 with t7500 (2.2ghz)

    it is possible to replace to T9500 ? (got new T9500 for free) ?

    how can i do it (and still save the warranty )?

    is the change is significant ?

    Yes it will be possible, but it will void your warranty. How long is your warranty by the way? The change shouldn't be dramatic unless you are a heavy (really heavy) multi-tasker or runs CPU intensive apps.

    the warranty is for 3 years, until 12/2010

    Personally I'd leave it for now. I can assure you in 3 years time you will be iching for that extra little more mhz...lol I am with my notebook :D So you might as well do it then when your warranty expires. The T7500 will be more than fine for now...what tasks are you doing with your notebook?

    (got new T9500 for free) .. procedure for getting that for free. :)

    I don't think changing would make any diff unless as Johnny T said u run any CPU intensive applications like SAP etc etc.

    replace it and if having to send it in, put the original back, make sure (!!) that you don't leave any traces
