    just got my 2gb ram stick in today..

    just got it in from the UPS guy today but my T61 from lenovo did not come in yet. I have another lenovo Im using that I borrowed to use at moment, can I try the ram on this laptop right now until I can install it on my T61 when it arrives?

    would I have any trouble switching Ram from laptop to laptop?

    As long as you're careful
    1) keeping track of the screws
    2) not damaging the cables under the palmrest
    3) able to remove and replace the ram in its slot

    you'll be fine.

    installed it with no problems and was recognized as a total of 2.97 gb of ram..

    now anyway I can see how much more performance I have gained or any increase in efficiency?
