    Just snagged a x61 tablet with the high res screen for $249 shipped.I would love to use it for making avatars and sigs for forums i am a member on and use them.Is photoshop the best program to use or are there also good free programs too?Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    The Gimp would be another free photo editing software that's like Photoshop.

    Is it an original X61 tablet SXGA+? They were prone to bubbling, my X61t SXGA+ was stolen from an X60t, so mine is not prone to the bubbling.

    GIMP is a good free program to make sig avatars in. My current HELLSING Edition! sig was made in GIMP in the matter of 2-3 hours (first time using the program).

    I do hope that the X61T that you've purchased has some warranty remaining...

    Bubbling - as Tsunade_Hime noted in his post - on these is very common and can only be addressed with a panel replacement...along with the "sparkly" effect of anti-glare coating which I personally find to be the biggest flaw on otherwise pretty well-designed machines...
