My W500 from J&R came loaded with windows XP. I took out the 160gig drive and put my own 160gig so when I sell it eventually, I can just put back the original drive. I doubt that has anything to do with my problem, but thought I would mention it first.

I booted from a Vista64 Boot Disk (with sp1), used the installer to remove the original partition on the hard drive, recreated it with the installer, then let it install normally. Did all the Thinkvantage stuff and everything works seemingly perfect.

However, I have a 1.37Gig partition that I can see with diskmanager that my backup software (acronis) reports errors on (it says "Error reading disk2"). Any clue what that is? Does it have something to do with bitlocker or something like that? My old T61 would not take vista ultimate, just vista business.

    Any thoughts?
