You can probably order that notebook for less from Lenovo directly, unless there's something I'm missing. If you were willing to upgrade the drive and memory yourself, you could probably save more. I don't know maybe you got a trust fund or something in which case I'll just start kissing your !@# right now.

I have Vista running on my R60 right now. I'd agree when it first shipped it was a laggard. Since I installed it with SP1 and ran Windows Update, performance has seemed to improved quite a bit.

I speced it out. It was like $1450 with the three year unless you got accidental. Is it the P or are you in Canada or something.

The $1450 was the P. My point was you could do better if you don't need the graphics card. That didn't include the nine cell which they're not offering right now so that's maybe $50 bucks.

I also priced it out without the 9 cell. it was 1733 before shipping and tax. mine was 1709 before shipping and tax, with the 9 cell.

i really dont want to get into an argument over this. i am happy with what i bought.

Oh come on, let's argue. It's been a little dull around here lately. Glad to hear you're content with your machine.

Nice! I'm about to get a T61p myself.
Although, how did you get the 9cell? I don't even have it as an option on the customization page. :[
