    getting a new keyboard.. is the T61 keyboard better or the T400 keyboard better? or are they different and incompatiable on the T400.?

    That depends on who you read. They are not extremely different. Some people have no issue with the mdified board. Others prefer the heavier t61-p board. You can take your pick. If you really don't like the original, then I'd recommend the t61-p board. If you "sort of" don't like the new keyboard it could go either way.

    The T61 style has a reinforced backplate. This makes it moderately stiffer than the T400 style, but has the downside of slightly more weight.
