ladies and gentlemen....my U330 has shipped :)

just wanted to let you all know that my u330 was shipped today.

i ordered 8/23 and had an expected ship date of 9/22....then was told over the phone it would be the 2nd week of october

and just got the email notifying me that my order has shipped


EDIT: and now realizing alot of others were shipped today also - think this was the first day they finally started shipping

 

I am excited to see some more reviews on the U330 with heaps of pictures. Then I can decide if I want to pull the trigger. I share the anticipation of you all receiving them!

 

Same here, waiting for U330 reviews to pop up, hopefully by this week. I'm thinking they ship from China, so it may not be until next week?

its shipping from Greensboro, NC with 3 day select with delivery confirmation service

so i might have it by friday

 

mine shipped today 9/23. Maybe getting it tomorrow as NY isn't too far from NC!

 

Cool. Anxious to hear about the double-pane "glossy" screen... If early returns are that is "causes eye strain", I'll cancel my order . Would suck, b/c this laptop in the only one that met all points on my wish-list at such a reasonable price.

 

This will be a good news for people who ordered on a later date too for there would be less backlogging....right now I am anticipating to see some good pictures of the U330 and some user comments

I canceled it 3 days ago because I never thought it would ship and Ordered a T400, so its going back unopened

In contrast, I canceled my T400 and ordered U330 2 days ago.....est Oct 6, I am guessing at Oct 13 though

 

Oh and then you go and do a thing like that, taking pictures of the unopened box teasing everyone...I hope someone who ISN'T sending theirs back gets theres tonight and I hope you enjoy your T400 Shrapnail!

I wish that were true, I ordered first week of Sept. and had a ship date of 10/6 but now my order has been pushed till mid Nov.

 

Wow that is rough, hopefully they are being very conservative.

 

I called in again today to see if I should expect to see mine ship this week. After complaining that I wasn't notified by email that my order had been delayed and that I read online that people who placed their orders after me had their orders shipped, the CSR rep said he would 'send an email to the supply group to put my order in the priority group.' Tried to get a discount or free expedited shipping but he did not go for that. Who knows if he'll do what he said he would..

One thing I was wondering is if anyone who has ordered the lower of the two configurations has had theirs ship? I planned to upgrade mine at a later date; most of the sigs I've seen indicate folks went for the 3/320 model.

I ordered mine on 8/24. Funny thing is it was told to be shipped on the 23rd, and according to my tracking my number, it's already arrived where I am located - San Jose, CA.

This is crazy.

 

Mine shipped today. I ordered it on the 8-31 and the original estimated ship date was 9-29. Hopefully mine will ship quickly too given that I live in Sunnyvale, CA.

Just received my shipping notification for my lower spec model. Ordered 8/25. No tracking information yet.

Called today and requested compensation for my wait, the CSR said that she emailed the request and that I should check back in 1-2 business days to see how much I was credited. She stated that my order was still on track for 10/6. Now it has shipped.

Wonder if I will still get a credit, would be nice.

Looking forward to recycling this 600E. Apparently computers don't have 10 year lifecycles.

 

shoehopper, can you let me know if you get that credit please? I just got a shipping notification as well. mine was ordered 9/08/08 and wasnt due till 10/6 as well. not really expecting it, and im just happy that its been shipped, but every little bit off helps.

 

Sure. I plan on checking my credit card in the morning to see what I was charged, I'm not really expecting to see a discounted price since I only talked to them hours ago and the CSR said she had to send the compensation request to some other department for approval. If I don't see the adjustment on my card I do plan on calling next week to plead my case. Might be difficult to get once I don't have any leverage, but a promise is a promise.

I just got an e-mail saying that my lower-spec unit has shipped. I ordered on 9/14 and had an original estimated ship date of 9/29, pushed back to 10/13. With all of the delays that folks have been posting about I was really starting to reconsider the entire purchase, so this is a major relief.

 

I called today and was told that I had been approved for a $50 credit. My card had already been charged, so I'm not exactly sure how they're going to go about giving the credit, but they said it'd take 8-10 days. I'll call back late next week I guess.

 

Get a written email from the rep that promised you that price match. Lenovo is disputing mine.

 

My lower-spec unit has shipped today (10/03) UPS Ground. Original order date was 9/05.

It's already reached Texas... should be here pretty soon.
