Well, the X230t will have a better build quality than the Yoga, if that matters.

Note that the X230t is still sold with Windows 7, as it doesn't meet Microsoft's requirements for touch in Windows 8 (I believe it's because the X230t only supports two-finger touch). There may also be some minor driver issues if you choose to run Windows 8 on the X230t, so if that's your plan, the Yoga 2 Pro/Thinkpad Yoga would both be better devices.

If you're planning to stick with W7 and don't mind the last-gen specs, the X230t is still a fine device, particularly if you can find it for much less than what Lenovo's selling it for.

but what i hate is the soldered ram, and I want 8gb. But then it will come with i7 and only need i5. It's a dilemma....and morbidly expensive!
is there going to be an x240T?

Well, you can enjoy the 16GB in the X230 if you want to...

No. X-series tablet has gone the way of the dodo.

I don't know which version of Yoga you're looking into but I wasn't too impressed with the original one.

    Obviously, YMMV.

Nope. There were (I believe) two versions of IdeaPad Yoga as well.

I haven't tried out the ThinkPad one, though.
