i got a lenovo 3000 N200 with a c2d 1.5 ghz processor and a nvidia 7300 card.
i run it with xp (did a vista downgrade) and use only lenovo stock drivers.
recently the laptop has problems to boot. when i turn it on, the lenovo screen
sows up, but before windows can be booted it turns itself ff again.
when i restart it (sometimes a few tries are necessary), windows tells me, that
maybe some hardware or software components were changed and if i want to
start it in safemode etc.
then i can start it and at some point it will work.
i couldn't solve it, so i reinstalled xp. now, the fresh xp install with drivers only
(no other software) has the same problem.
does anyone know how to solve it? it makes me mad!

Anything showing up in Event Viewer? If you've done a clean install and it's still doing it, more than likely it's a hardware issue. You might want to try a Linux Live CD to see if you can get it to run.

guess you're right it is a hardware problem.
i have some spare ram, so i try swapping in a new stick.
but what is an event viewer? -
i changed the ram. then i found a bios update from lenovo and they wrote it would fix some problems with booting. installed it and it seems to work now. if the problem won't appear in the next few days it should be solved.
