Hi, was wondering if anyone here owns this model or 1 similar to it. Please tell me how you like yours - performance wise, any problems etc.? I'm planning to order 1 in about 2 weeks, really excited.
I read that this is geared more to small-business owners etc., but I really need 1 in time for January and couldn't seem to find a Thinkpad in the price-range of $11-1200 or less. Any suggestions? I'm sure this model will be fine tho, if I can't find any others. Thanks, Greg

I own one and I really like it. I'm impressed on how cool the machine actually runs. I have no compliants whatsoever.

Wow, that looks perfect. Thanks a lot, really. I'm gonna contact them soon, about payment options. Thanks, Greg

oops, I just noticed that it's not widescreen. I may need to keep looking. Thanks, Greg

I purchased the 14.1 widescreen and it has been more than adequate for my particular needs.

i got my lenovo 3000 n100 yesterday, my first impressions were it was a sleek looking silver machine, somewhat heavy though, on boot up too many start up items were being loaded so i disabled them after finding out what they meant, and if they were needed....im a bit dissapointed at the screen resolution, its a bit dull and the text display is somewhat faint...messed about with the setttings but still the same...removed norton and installed bitdefender and zonealrm...it is incredibly quiet for a heavy machine..generally it is great, you get a lot for your money
i just noticed that that the speakers are terrible..they sound like a cheap pair of headphones..pathetic speakers by ibm/lenovo....good machined ruined by cheaper headphone speakers...they sound "tinny"..no sign of any base..and not very loud.. -
I have had one for about 2 months now. It's a fine machine. Picks up wireless internet well, works fast. I find the screen and keyboard work well for me, except I wish the "control" key on the left were larger, like it was on my previous laptop. My overwhelming complaint is that the hard drive makes a high-pitched whirring sound almost constantly (goes on and off). Support wasn't very helpful about it. That's the only thing I would change. That and the speakers, actually. If you use headphones, though, the sound is really quite good.
